Is it a magazine for fashion designers? Not exactly.
Let’s take a closer look at Vogue Collections.
Vogue Collections is a fashion magazine published in French. The Spring/Summer 2026 issue has 242 pages and is clearly divided into two parts. The first part, roughly one third of the entire magazine, focuses on everything essential that awaits us in fashion in the upcoming season. And when I say “you’ll read about it,” I mainly mean visually.
There is very little text in the magazine. The main role is played by photography, moods, details, and the overall impression. So if your French is similar to mine and you can manage at most one sentence—one that may not even be suitable for polite company—it doesn’t matter at all. The images make everything clear. Moreover, English terms often appear alongside the descriptions of key trends, so you’ll find your way around very quickly.
In this first section, you don’t just learn what will soon appear in stores. You are given a complete “guide” on how to think about fashion:
which colors will dominate (and it’s not just about one color of the year),
which accessories are returning in a more modern form,
whether comfort still reigns in footwear or if high elegance is making a comeback,
and there is also inspiration for makeup, hairstyles, and cuts.
Vogue Collections draws from the fashion shows of the world’s most renowned designers and from the way they build complete outfits. Photographs from the runways then make up the remaining two thirds of the magazine. These are clearly organized by city: Paris, Milan, New York, and London.
And now back to the opening question. Is Vogue Collections a magazine for fashion designers?
Yes. It is an ideal—perhaps even one of the best—choices if they are looking for inspiration or new ideas.
But it is certainly not only for them.
Even we “ordinary mortals” sometimes feel the urge to wear something more expressive, something less understated. Sometimes we want to step away from the grey and black tones that so often dominate our wardrobes—and, let’s be honest, store offerings as well. We often look at new pieces but struggle to imagine how to put together a complete outfit: how to refine the details, how to combine colors, where the line lies between a bold but good choice and the moment when it all becomes too much (if such a line even exists).
Yes, many of the outfits in Vogue Collections would probably not be ideal for dinner at your grandmother’s house. But you might be surprised how many of them would remind her of a time when she used to sew or knit similar pieces herself. And perhaps she could still create something like that today—or pull it out from the back of her wardrobe. And suddenly, you’d have a fashion trend straight from grandma.
To sum it up:
Vogue Collections is not just a magazine for fashion designers. It is for everyone who enjoys a creative view of the world, who is not afraid to stand out a little, and who feels that fashion is a way to express who they are.
